Tabitha Fitzgerald

Senior Researcher (Education)

I joined the Education Policy Team at the Centre for Social Justice after a few years working as a civil servant at No10 and the Department for Health and Social Care. Before that, I spent two years working with children and young people in my local community after graduating with a degree in Theology, Religion and Philosophy of Religion from the University of Cambridge.

I am passionate about developing policy that makes young people’s lives better in practice, and I think policy needs to be grounded in the realities of people’s everyday lives. I am committed to the CSJ’s mission to scale up ideas from front-line charities in order to drive meaningful change at society-level. I am motivated by a vision of a society where communities thrive, grounded in social justice, love and shared responsibility.

Something you might not know about me

I have six pet chickens in my garden in SW London, all named after some of my favourite Jane Austen characters.
