The Social Enterprise Award
The Social Enterprise Award will be given to an outstanding, innovative and effective social enterprise dedicated to helping the most disadvantaged in society to improve their lives, become independent and realise their full potential across the one or more of the CSJ’s five poverty fighting pathways of Educational Failure, Family Breakdown, Addiction, Serious Personal Debt, and Worklessness.
Mental ill health and homelessness can be connected to any of these and all work in these areas will be considered as part of this award. All applicants must demonstrate a sustainable business model set up specifically to tackle social problems.
Applicants must demonstrate how profits are used for the benefit of the wider community and clearly outline their impact through qualitative and/or quantitative data. Applicants should also be able to explain how their model is replicable and/or scalable, so it may be used to help people all over the UK.
