I first became interested in the work of the CSJ, in my role as a secondary school teacher, working in a special educational needs department. The CSJ’s work on exclusions and mental health of young people is incredibly vital. This work led me to first become aware of the CSJ, and I am very proud to be joining an organisation which is so committed to tackling the root causes of the biggest issues in society.
Through working for Ark and AimHigher at university and completing the TeachFirst teacher training programme, I have gained a real interest in educational inequality. Therefore, I am very excited to join the education team, to find out more about this burning issue and potential solutions to it.
Something you might not know about me
When I was 18 I was lucky enough to go trekking in the lower Himalayas and help build a playground at a primary school in North West India. I would love to go back one day!
