Ollie joined the CSJ’s policy team in November 2017, and is a Researcher and Work Experience Lead in the Education Policy Unit. His main focus to date has been school exclusions and the alternative provision sector. He has taken leading roles in the CSJ’s skills policy series, starting with a focus on post-18 education.
His policy interests include addressing the regional disparity in life chances in the UK, and ways to incentivise and encourage greater disadvantaged pupil participation in higher education. He is also interested in the links with criminal justice, and how better to target education reform to the problems of criminality.
Prior to joining the CSJ, Ollie graduated from the University of Cambridge with a First-Class degree in Human, Social and Political Sciences, specialising in Politics and International Relations.
