James is head of the CSJ’s Education Policy Unit. James is a qualified lawyer; prior to joining the CSJ, he practised at Dentons, an international law firm, where he specialised in employment law. He is committed to improving lives through social policy and has a particular interest in education and labour market policy.
His academic background blends law, economics and politics. He has a Master’s degree from the University of Cambridge, where he graduated with Distinction and won the course prize for the top performing student, and a First Class degree from the University of Bath.
