Patrick Spencer

Senior Fellow

Patrick started his policy career at the CSJ. Between 2016 and 2020 he was Head of Work and Welfare Policy. In 2020 he was appointed a Senior Adviser to the Secretary of State for Education. During his time in Government, he served six Cabinet Ministers. In 2023 he helped set the Jobs Foundation; a charity focussed on supporting businesses create job opportunities for disadvantaged people. He returned to the Centre for Social Justice in March 2024 to take up the role of Senior Adviser.

Something you might not know about me

Before working in Westminster, he worked in the financial services sector. He has a BA in Politics from the University of Leeds, and a Masters in Public Policy from Georgetown University in Washington DC.
