Senior Researcher and Work Experience Lead
Ollie joined the CSJ’s policy team in November 2017, and is a Senior Policy Analyst in the Education Policy Unit and Work Experience Lead. He has carried out research on school exclusions and alternative provision, apprenticeships, access to higher education and lifelong learning, and has helped develop policy solutions in these fields. He is currently researching the quality of unregistered schools in England and will soon lead a project on basic skills.
His policy interests include addressing the regional disparity in life chances in the UK, and finding ways to incentivise and encourage greater disadvantaged pupil participation in higher education. He is also interested in how we can better link education reforms to problems of criminality.
Prior to joining the CSJ, Ollie graduated from the University of Cambridge with a first-class degree in human, social and political sciences, specialising in politics and international relations.
