Internships

The CSJ offers an 11 month voluntary internship. All spaces for September 2010 onwards have now been filled.
An internship at the CSJ is voluntary with Zone 1-2 and lunch expenses covered. This allows us to create an opportunity for people wishing to explore work in politics where we are not able to offer a salaried position.
There is one more internship available for the coming year. We are looking for an organised individual with a passion for social justice issues. The ideal volunteer will have excellent writing skills, having perhaps written for their University newspaper or a website, good attention to detail and some experience of organising events or parties.
Ideal volunteer
We receive volunteers from a wide variety of backgrounds. The majority of successful applicants in the past have had good Bachelors degrees of 2:1 or higher.
All applicants will have the requisite visas to volunteer in the UK. The ideal volunteer would anticipate being able to volunteer for 11 months on a full time basis.
Interviews
We conduct interviews throughout the year allocating places for volunteers on a first-come first-served basis to successful applicants.
How to apply
The application process for internships for September 2010 is now closed.
If you would like, however, to send a speculative CV please send to kirsty.turnbull@centreforsocialjustice.org.uk
Notes
The internship with the CSJ is voluntary and does not form an employer/employee contractual relationship between the CSJ and the volunteer.
