Apply for a CSJ Award

Applications for the CSJ Awards 2013 are now open. Closing date for applications is 28 June 2013.

The Centre for Social Justice is looking for community-based charities and voluntary groups that are preventing poverty or helping people and families caught in damaging situations, to turn their lives around. We are wanting to celebrate and reward some of the best initiatives from throughout the UK that are enabling people to find a permanent way out of the situations they are in. We are looking for groups that are addressing the causes of poverty, not just the symptoms.

Winning organisations will receive a £10,000 cash prize, awarded at a high-profile evening celebration in London in November 2013, before an audience of 300 key influencers including MPs, funders and policy makers.

TO APPLY, YOU MUST:

  • Be a voluntary group with charitable objectives, or a registered charity;
  • Work directly with people living in social or financial poverty in the UK (this can include working in areas like addiction, unemployment, educational failure, family breakdown and money management ;
  • Be seeking solutions that will help people out of poverty and enable them to stay that way;
  • Have an annual turnover of less than £3 million.

Unfortunately we are unable to accept applications from:
