The annual CSJ Awards recognise effective poverty fighting groups from across the UK. Cash prizes of £10,000 are awarded to charities, small voluntary groups and other local projects that display innovation and effectiveness in addressing the causes of poverty, turning lives around and reversing social breakdown.
Now in its ninth year, the CSJ Awards have brought over 80 winning voluntary groups to the attention of the national media and policy makers and nearly £400,000 has been given out to date. Winners are announced at the awards ceremony, which is attended by politicians, celebrities, supporters and members of the media.
